1. How can CheckedTextView be instantiated?

In the android source code, CheckedTextView
(frameworks/base/core/java/android/widget/CheckedTextView.java) is an
abstract class.

And yet, in select_dialog_singlechoice
(/Volumes/android/mydroid-faves/frameworks/base/core/res/res/layout/select_dialog_singlechoice.xml),
it is using CheckedTextView widget:

<CheckedTextView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    android:id="@android:id/text1"
    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
    android:layout_height="wrap_content"
    android:minHeight="?android:attr/listPreferredItemHeight"
    android:textAppearance="?android:attr/textAppearanceLargeInverse"
    android:gravity="center_vertical"
    android:paddingLeft="12dip"
    android:paddingRight="7dip"
    android:checkMark="@android:drawable/btn_check"
    android:ellipsize="marquee"
/>

Can you please tell me how does Android instantiated the
CheckedTextView given that it is an abstract class when it inflates
select_dialog_singlechoice.xml?

Thank you.

2. Manually Adding SDK's to the ADT in Eclipse

Hey,

I made a bit of a mistake when updating to the latest Android SDK. I
downloaded the SDK Manager manually, then downloaded the 2.0 (and
1.5r3) platforms, and only then updated Eclipse...and realised I
probably should have updated it all from the ADT within Eclipse. So I
am currently stuck with Eclipse not able to see the SDK's I downloaded
to the SDK Manager. Help!

How do I add those SDK's the ADT, or do I just have to re-download the
SDK from within Eclipse (which seems like a real waste)...

Thanks,
Ali.
