Doesn't sound possible to start with......
How does the G1 communicate with Canon IXUS when the only thing the
canon can do over USB is to act as a card reader? it can even write to
the SD card....;/
(I have a Canon IXUS as well..)

Cheers

Nick, you need the Android sdk to support USB host functions, which is
what this enhancement calls for:
 http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=738

Best you can do right now is star the enhancement above to give it
weight on the roadmap.

Could the G1 be used as a monitor/wired remote control for a digital camera?

 Hi

Many modern digital cameras use IR port for remote shooting. I dont
have G1 right now, so question: does it (G1) has IR port? If so then I
am eager to try my future G1 as remote control for my Pentax K20D.

Um... the G1 has an IR port? Not the last time I checked.

So the G1 doesn't have a infrared port... i dont believe it would be
available as external optional device..

Eventually you should take a look at:

 http://gphoto.sourceforge.net/

These guys seem to have a remote control for over 1000 cameras and
they use linux, so a port should be possible (if android isn't too
much away of the needed core functions ;-) )

Good luck and give us an update if it works ;-)

1. Server Error when saving cc info from Android Market

Many of my buyers are getting a "Server Error" during the purchase
process of my app from Android Market. The error occurs only for
people who have not purchased from Android Market before and do not
have credit card credentials stored in a Google Checkout account.

During purchase process from Android Market, users are brought to the
screen to enter their credit card info. When they save the data from
this page (Done button), they get a Server Error or "attention, a
server error has occurred".

Started happening around August 3rd, 2010, and has been fairly
continuous since. Limited response from Google so far, but supposedly
they are working on it.

There is a convoluted work around, (make sure gmail account is synced
to phone, go to checkout.google.com on a PC, enter cc info there, then
go back to Market and make the purchase). But Google Checkout and
Android Market need to fix this.

I suspect the actual error is thrown by Google Checkout, since they
are the ones storing the cc info.

2. map that open an overlay when a "pin" is clicked and the overlay contains description and button

Hi,

I like tu use the MapActivity to display some pins. When a pin is
pressed i like to open a description.

This can I obtain following the tutorial:

http://developer.android.com/resources/tutorials/views/hello-mapview.html

But now I like to put a button on the overlay window. That button should open
a detail activity. How can I make this?

How is possible to personalize the overlay "info window"?
