 The Windows Media codecs are not part of OpenCORE. They require a
separate license which is typically negotiated between the hardware
manufacturer and the codec supplier.

1. Opinion: Do Google Android Mobile Apps Lack Consistency?

"I love Open Source. It's a great way to develop software. But it has
its weaknesses. One of the main weaknesses is consistency. Take a look
at these Android apps. When you look at these applications for the
Google backed smartphone OS, what you'll see is a complete lack of
consistency in the look and feel of applications."

This is a tough situation. Looks like we'll just use Themes. Then the
details of those Themes are translated by the specific phones which
would make them look a bit different on each phone. In Android.R.Style
there's just Light, Black, Dialog, Translucent. (For the Widgets,
consistency can just be solved by Best Practices.)

The most important part of Look and Feel probably comes from the
specific phone. Black vs. white, child's phone vs. elderly person's
phone, etc. So the variables here are the Theme itself, the phone's
interpretation of that Theme and the customization of the developer
for that theme (which should be minimal I guess).

But how do you know how much is Too Much customization?

2. UnsupportedOperationException: ArrayAdapter's add and insert methods

I've created an ArrayAdapter<Integer> for a ListView as such:
        aa = new ArrayAdapter<Integer>(
                        this,
                        R.layout.centered_list,
                        new Integer[] {0,1,2});
(very similarly, anyway)

If I try using aa.add(3) or aa.insert(3,3), I get an
UnsupportedOperationException. Here's the full output:

The only problem I can think of is that it is an "Array"Adapter,
rather than another form of container, but I assumed that was only
because you input an array. Why even have add, insert, or remove
methods?

Does anyone else get this exception? Does anyone have a fix?
