 Hi, all
in the emulator 1.5, my app can get and play the contacts ringtone.
but after the app installed in the real G2, the app can not play the
contacts ringtone, and it does not throw any error. in the G2, I have
already the contacts ringtone.

Does anybody encounter this before? thanks in advance!!

Why I can not play the ringtone in the real device?

My guess would be a permissions issue, either in the android framework
sense or in the linux filesystem sense.

Instrument your code with log messages checking the validity of each
assumption that if untrue could make it fail.

 Thank you, chris

the update is that if the app installed in a G1, it can play the
contact ringtone, but if the app installed in a G2, it cann't.

so it may not be a permission issue....

1. startActivivityForResult and onResult From a view

Based on the posted code, I'm guessing he has a custom view which he's
getting his context (activity) from and calling startActivityForResult from.

No, nor should you be calling startActivity from a View, you should be
calling it from the parent activity of that view and handling the result
there as well. If your view is what cares about the result, delegate the
result to the view from the activity (which should know about the View).

2. RadioGroup

Hi All,

In my application I have a RadioGroup within which has 2 RadioButtons
Then I have another 'submit' button.

Upon clicking submit button I want to do tasks based on which button
is selected in the RadioGroup.

I can do this when there is no RadioGroup involved and there are only
2 buttons but with RadioGroup nothing happens when I click submit
button.

Any idea how to resolve this?
