but after the app installed in the real G2, the app can not play the
contacts ringtone, and it does not throw any error. in the G2, I have

Why I can not play the ringtone in the real device?

My guess would be a permissions issue, either in the android framework
sense or in the linux filesystem sense.

Instrument your code with log messages checking the validity of each
assumption that if untrue could make it fail.

 Thank you, chris

the update is that if the app installed in a G1, it can play the
contact ringtone, but if the app installed in a G2, it cann't.

so it may not be a permission issue....

1. handle Camera preview data without a SurfaceView

Hello,

I want to receive the data from the preview of the Camera, but without
having to set a SurfaceView with a SurfaceHolder in the view of my
application.

I want to do something like this:

Camera cam = Camera.open();
cam.setPreviewCallback(new MyPreviewCallback());
cam.startPreview();

This will not work because I need to call setPreviewDisplay
(SurfaceHoler) before I start the preview. I can get a SurfaceHolder
from a SurfaceView, but I don't want a SurfaceView, because I don't
need one. I just want to handle the preview data by myself. Any idees
on how to deal with this?

Thanks in advance!

Denzel

anyone anyhelp? I can successfully compiled opencore before I repo synced, but
no sound. Now I repo synced the mydroid. First , it shows I lack sys/shm.h ,
inorder to solve this problem , I copied some files from android.bak and now ,
it seems opencore with problems with alsa.
