I am an interactive consultant at JWT London and would like to know if
there are any companies that have got a jump on the whole Android
specialism. I know its all in its infancy but there are great deal of
projects I would like to look at for our clients which can be seen on ralted to Android.

 No one *really* supports Android yet as there are no actual devices to
deploy against.

However many developers who entered the Android Developer Challenge
have real mobile-software-development day jobs and are looking forward
to the first Android projects to walk in the door.

What sort of thing did you have in mind?

Would you explain what exactly are you after?

The actual hardware that runs Android or the software?

We are currently in the process of making some hardware that runs
Android if that's what you are after.....

1. launching music player using intent

hi all,
from my app i want to launch the default music player app and it
should play a track from trackbrowser .
I want to achieve this using intent. But not sure how to do it .
Till now whatever i have tried just shows the trackbrowser activity ,
but doesnt play anything .

using intent i want to play an mp3 file using music player app.

anybody having clue how to do it ?


2. Drawing lines/shapes with Canvas that glow

I am working on a 2d interface and find the process pretty straight
forward. However, I want to jazz it up a bit by drawing lines that
appear to "glow". That is, lines that will be white in the middle and
the diffuse out to a darker color. Photoshoppers might recognize this
as the outer glow effect.

Is this possible as part of the standard API? If not, I guess the
solution might be to extend the class so that it draws lines along
side the original on both sides that darken in color to simulate the
