After weeks of trying to get my service to run on boot & an interval
via AlarmManager I finally found out the problem. Can anybody help me?

If my workspace is for sdk 1.5, the service NEVER RUNS ONCE.
If my workspace is for sdk 1.0, USING THE 1.0 EMULATOR, NOT THE 1.5
EMULATOR, it works perfectly.

Is this a known bug? Why is it only working on the old SDK? Is there
an additional permission I need?

BOOT_COMPLETED events and AlarmManager definitely work on Android 1.5. I
have the code to prove it:

(click on Source Code, look in the ZIP file for the SystemServices/Alarm

If you want, compare your implementation with mine, and report back what
difference you think may explain the behavior -- that would get us a lot
closer to determining if this is a "known bug".

2. query about LOCAL_LDLIBS

Hi All,

Its like, I need to use some prebuilt android modules' libs(.so
and .a) while building system.img.
I am trying to link those libs using LOCAL_LDLIBS where they are
required and surpassed their building through source code and

My current situation is:
I want to include prebuilt static lib as a whole in a shared lib.
So in shared libs', I have tried these syntax:

(1) LOCAL_LDLIBS += -L$(SOME_MACRO)/some_dir -Wl,--whole-archive -
llibabc.a -Wl,--no-whole-archive

(2) LOCAL_LDLIBS += -L$(SOME_MACRO)/some_dir -Wl,--whole-archive -labc

(3) LOCAL_LDLIBS += -Wl,--whole-archive -l$(SOME_MACRO)/some_dir/
libabc.a -Wl,--no-whole-archive

but they all don't work and linking errors are thrown while building
shared lib.

Please help.
