 Hello to everybody!

I found this problem with new Android SDK 1.5 and eclipse.

New SDK comes with zip for linux version, and once you have
decompressed all files you might find some errors trying to make it
work.

All you have to do is grant execution permission to some files, this
files are found in tools folder. There are three tools folders, from
here my problems.

$ chmod +x  ..../android-sdk-linux_x86-1.5_pre/tools/*
$ chmod +x  ..../android-sdk-linux_x86-1.5_pre/platforms/android-1.5/
tools/*
$ chmod +x  ..../android-sdk-linux_x86-1.5_pre/platforms/android-1.1/
tools/*

You must change .... with correct path.

Hope it helps!

1. send events from Android device to PC

Hi all,

I am trying to automate some tasks using adb commands in java, but in
order to confirm tasks are completed, I need some reply from the
device to the PC controlling it. I thought about using the logcat, but
since android is continuously writing on the log, there might be
problems accessing it, and checking the correct message. Does anyone
know about a (easy) way of messaging between android device and PC?

Thanks in advance for the help!

2. Gallery Control Fling operation

Hi,

I am trying to stop the Gallery's fling operation after just one view
change.
I am able to do it but I used setSelection(getSelectedItemPosition()
+1,true) but i am not able to animate.
It just changes the view and a new view gets selected.
I also tried with the velocity but this approach is not good as
whatever the speed of the fling done by the user.
The image will move on a specific speed calculated.

What should I do.

Thanks
Vivek
