2. Hello Views GridView Tutorial - Dalvik format failed with error 1

Hello all!

I am just getting started with Android SDK running on ubuntu 10.04
with eclipse and plugins (android 2.1), but seem to get stuck on the
GridView Tutorial. With a strange error that only presents itself when
I try and run the program. I removed the onclick section from the
script to make the code simpler but still get the message:

Description
Resource                        Path            Location        Type
Conversion to Dalvik format failed with error 1 HelloGridView Unknown
Android      Packaging Problem

When I try and run the code, eclipse shows no errors (although it did
show lots initially until I added in the import lines? )

Here is the code:

HelloGridView.java

package com.adshires.HelloGridView;
import android.app.Activity;
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.widget.GridView;
public class HelloGridView extends Activity {
    /** Called when the activity is first created. */
    @Override
    public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
        super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
        setContentView(R.layout.main);
        GridView gridview = (GridView) findViewById(R.id.gridview);
        gridview.setAdapter(new ImageAdapter(this));

    }
}

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
