  assume that your linux kernel boots up ok, And you box only turns to
block screen after launch up the Android. If I'm right, the black screen
could be caused by the wrong FB driver. Please rebuild your kernel to
use VESA fb and see if it works. Otherwise disable app_process and get
into the shell to debug.

 I YiSun:
I applied four patches only,did not use the intelfb method you
supplied, so it should be VESA. Am I right? Also, How to disable the
app_process to get into shell? I dit not find the correspondinng
options for virtualbox. Thanks!

No, if you did not rebuild the kernel, then you are using i915.

Change the init.rc. Just disable following lines:
service zygote /system/bin/app_process -Xzygote /system/bin --zygote
--start-system-server
socket zygote stream 666
onrestart write /sys/android_power/request_state wake
onrestart write /sys/power/state on

 Do more people have the problem that they don't see any battery icon
on the status bar? Does it supposed to be there with the battery patch?

1. Cocos 2d on android

Hi All,

I wanted to develop a game on android using cocos 2D engine.
I found two different libraries by different developers for cocos2d-
iphone library.
First is http://code.google.com/p/cocos2d-android/ by ricardoquesada.
The other one is http://code.google.com/p/cocos2d-android-1/ by
zhouweikuan.
Please help me to select one of these. Can anybody tell me the
differences between these two? Has anybody got a prior experience on
any of these?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

2. OnKeyListener Not working

Hi

I try to apply treatment onto EditText.
To do so in Android 1.5 a few months ago I used the View.OnKeyListener
interface and everything worked fine.

Now I uploaded my application onto a Android 2.2 device (and also
virtual device) and it doesn't work anymore, except the OK key, that
is still captured.

My EditText is binded to the controller through my Controller
constructor :

       public TextController(EditText textBox) {
                textBox.setOnKeyListener(this);
                boxSize = textBox.getText().toString().length();
                text = textBox.getText().toString();
        }

the onKey method is triggered only while hitting the DEL key and the
OK key

Has anyone already experienced this?
