Activity lifecycle and static variables ....

o, it will never be true.

The VM doesn't manage processes at all. The system starts a process and
runs a VM inside of it when it needs to run any components of an
application. Unless you specify otherwise, all of your components run in
the same VM, in the same process, sharing all of the same statics.

There is really nothing special about this besides a normal operating
system. There are processes, these are managed by the kernel, and they run
some code. There is Dalvik, which is some code that can run in a process.
It can't hop your code into another process.

1. questions about tabHost

hi all,

I have two questions for setting tab widget,

if I set three tab initial,
then how can I remove one of three tab?
because form the reference,
http://developer.android.com/reference/android/widget/TabHost.html#setCurrentTabByTag(java.lang.String)
there only have the clearalltabs() method.

and the other question is
when I want to add tab, the code is:
eg:
mTabHost.addTab(mTabHost.newTabSpec("tab_test1").setIndicator
("one").setContent(R.id.mTextView);

if now I want to add two component in a tab content
such as TextView and Button widget,

then how can I do that?

thanks!!

2. Proxy SDK 1.5r1

Hi all,

With this SDK version I can use my emulator using a proxy server.
There is three solutions:
- add values in system table
- configure -http-proxy in eclipse run menu
- configure APN on emulator to set the proxy

When I use Android browser, it's really slow but it's working...If I
try to to a post from my application, I take an ANR and some minutes
later a socket time out.

Somebody knows the solution?
