I'm looking to take up android developement as a hobby but wasn't sure
where to get started. I plan on spending a little time a night trying
to learn the programming needed and get familiar with the SDK once I'm
up to speed but wasn't sure where to start. Any guidance would be
appreciated. Thanks

Do you know Java? If not, that's priority #1. If you do, a book on Android
and the online documentation and samples are probably a good place to start.

Your service won't be reachable using the loopback address from a
client on your desktop. Get familiar with port forwarding/
redirecting.

2. dlopen, pls HELP!!!

Hi,

I built some .so file for the Android system. But when I tried to open
it with dlopen("foo.so", RTLD_LAZY), the system hanged and it shows
something like:
"
V/dalvikvm( 57): HeapWorker is awake
V/dalvikvm( 57): Called 0 finalizers
V/dalvikvm( 57): Enqueued 0 references
D/dalvikvm-heap( 57): madvised 552960 (GC) + 0 (native) = 552960
total bytes
"

Appreciate if anybody can help me.

Thanks,

-M
