 i,
Within a minute, the system tries to suspend itself. I have
enabled CPU suspend support in the kernel. However, the system tries
to suspend itself and does not succeed, and keeps flickering the
screen as it tires to go into suspend mode.

How can I fix this?

request_suspend_state: sleep (0->3) at 136781494130 (2000-01-01

Freezing remaining freezable tasks ... (elapsed 0.00 seconds) done.
Suspending console(s) (use no_console_suspend to debug)

 ou also need to enable wake lock. Otherwise, your pm will not work
correct.

power management cpu suspend not working - android-2.6.29 port to overo

 Hi,
     I have enabled wake-lock. I would like the system to go to
suspend more after a while. If you look at the error, it says, PM cpu
suspect failed. I have enabled suspend support in the kernel. What
should I do to make it work?

Best regards,

Elvis

power management cpu suspend not working - android-2.6.29 port to overo

by Elvis Dowson » Tue, 28 Apr 2009 17:02:34 GMT

 Hi,
      Here is a list of messages that I get, the system is unable to
go to standby mode, and it keeps coming back on, with the screen
flashing on and off every second. If I touch the screen, the
flickering stops. I have only enable fb suspend, and not console
suspend. This is because when i run menuconfig i can only choose
either console suspend of the sysfs interface for the framebuffer
suspend to work.

Is the problem due to the mmc card or something? A little lower down
below, there is another error from the pm for cpu suspend.

Here are the log messages:

Suspending console(s) (use no_console_suspend to debug)
MMC: killing requests for dead queue
PM: suspend devices took 0.343 seconds
pm_noirq_op(): platform_pm_suspend_noirq+0x0/0x5c returns -11
PM: Device power.0 failed to suspend late: error -11
PM: Some devices failed to power down
wakeup wake lock: mmc_delayed_work
PM: resume devices took 0.140 seconds

Class driver suspend failed for cpu0

Best regards,

Elvis

1. Service start intent problem

Hi,

I've found a problem that may random FCs on some certain phones, Here's the
code snapshot:

Intent i = new Intent();
i.setClasss(this, MyService.class);
i.putExtra("tag", "test");
startService(i);

public void onStart(Intent intent, int startId ){
 String str = intent.getExtras().getString("tag");
...
}

Now if I try to get string that I passed in service startup routine, it will
random FCs, system will throw a Null Pointer Exception.

Does anyone has the same issue?

Alex

Anybody know how to solve this problem in androide

trouble processing "javax/xml/bind/Binder.class":
[2010-08-31 16:20:28 - IBS]
Attempt to include a core class (java.* or javax.*) in something other
than a core library. It is likely that you have attempted to include
in an application the core library (or a part thereof) from a desktop
virtual machine. This will most assuredly not work. At a minimum, it
jeopardizes the compatibility of your app with future versions of the
platform. It is also often of questionable legality.

If you really intend to build a core library -- which is only
appropriate as part of creating a full virtual machine distribution,
as opposed to compiling an application -- then use the
"--core-library" option to suppress this error message.

If you go ahead and use "--core-library" but are in fact building an
application, then be forewarned that your application will still fail
to build or run, at some point. Please be prepared for angry customers
who find, for example, that your application ceases to function once
they upgrade their operating system. You will be to blame for this
problem.

If you are legitimately using some code that happens to be in a core
package, then the easiest safe alternative you have is to repackage
that code. That is, move the classes in question into your own package
namespace. This means that they will never be in conflict with core
system classes. If you find that you cannot do this, then that is an
indication that the path you are on will ultimately lead to pain,
suffering, grief, and lamentation.
