For those of you dealing with time data on the Android - or just want
to see an NTP client work, check out the application I just published.

It's free of course, and it's called "Navy Clock"

It displays local time of the phone, the UTC time of the phone, and
the time read from the US Naval Observatory in Washington DC.

I'll add features as I go.

1. Paid Android App Store should have this feature. Hate this about Apple's app Store

"And while wee at it, how about trial periods for apps? I recently
purchased Super Monkey Ball for $9.99, and it the most annoying game
Ie ever paid money for. I totally have buyer remorse. If
developers could add a time limit into the DRM wrapper on the app,
then it could turn itself off after a certain pre-determined trial
period ended. I not an app developer, obviously, but this seems more
viable than giving your app away for free for an amount of time and
then suddenly charging all new customers for it."

Clearly DRM isn't an issue here maybe, but still trial periods should
be a must.

2. problem about linux (ubuntu) develop android with Eclispe

i have some problem with linux (ubuntu)
when use "apt-get install eclipse " , that will install eclipse

but it's recommand to use Eclipse 3.3 (Europa), 3.4 (Ganymede)
supported Development Environments:
* Eclipse IDE
o Eclipse 3.3 (Europa), 3.4 (Ganymede)

so i download Eclipse 3.4 unzip it and follow the document

i open the project that already in "sample/Snake "
but cant find Snake.apk

eclipse console message :

- Snake] Android Launch!
- Snake] adb is running normally.
- Snake] Could not find Snake.apk!

so i try to use command line

" ./activitycreator --out ../samples/Snake/ "
then u get sample/Snake/build.xml
then run ant
it shows

Buildfile: build.xml

[echo] Creating output directories if needed...
    [mkdir] Created dir: /home/test/android-sdk-linux_x86-0.9_beta/

[echo] Generating / from the resources...

[echo] Compiling aidl files into Java classes...

[javac] Compiling 4 source files to /home/test/android-sdk-

[echo] Converting compiled files and external libraries into bin/

     [echo] Packaging resources and assets...

[echo] Packaging bin/Snake-debug.apk, and signing it with a debug
     [exec] null

exec returned: 1

at " ~/android-sdk-linux_x86-0.9_beta/samples/Snake/bin"
Snake-debug.apk exists

but "file Snake-debug.apk "

it shows : Snake-debug.apk: empty

i dont know why ? it's a problem with ubuntu enviroment setting or
eclipse setting ?
