while back i posted an issue i was having when my BroadcastListener
was listening for phone state and sending the info over to an
Activity which would present UI. but getIntent() in the receiving
Activity always brought back the initial one. should i be using
something off PendingIntent in that case too?

indeed, i tried logging in onNewIntent() too, but it isn't being
called in this case.

1. unable to set gps geo fix

I am slowly coming to the conclusion that the ddms ping problem might
be something that I could ignore because that command is only to find
out if the emulator has started to run. I am not sure though, so i am
going to focus on my gps problem for now and here is some extra
information: when i start the emulator, i am seeing this in the error
12-12 09:27:44.551: ERROR/ThrottleService(61): Could not open GPS
configuration file /etc/gps.conf

Do I have to provide a gps.conf somewhere if i want to get locations
from gps in the emulator?

Thank you

2. how to remove an item from a listView and arrayAdapter

I have a collection of items in an ArrayList. I add them to a
customer adapter as follows:

this.m_adapter = new MyAdapter(this, R.layout.myitem,

I have a delete button for each of these items in my list, but I am
not sure how to connect the delete button's onClick() with the
original item in the ArrayList. Can someone please explain how to do
this or point me to a tutorial where I can read up on this? Non-
sarcastic/non-condescending responses are greatly appreciated.
