OT: Good forum for G1 anywhere?

My first post on here recently (which was about the google talk app)
was not received well as it was not specifically
directed at the android OS. I was politely informed that only android
discussion should take place here.

Now not wanting to make this mistake again, might I ask if anybody has
recommendations for a G1 discussion forum which
is both friendly, busy and frequented by a technical and mature
audience? I can then post my questions which do not specifically
pertain to the android OS itself.

Sorry in advance for posting this slightly off topic question.

1. How can I find my GPS location with GPS sensor

I am currently working with a HTC G1 and I am trying to retrieve my
GPS position. But I can not understand very well the documentation. I
wrote those lines, but they didn't work.

        LocationManager mgr = (LocationManager) this.getSystemService
        GPSSensor gps = new GPSSensor(mgr);
        String provider = "";
        provider = mgr.getBestProvider(new Criteria(), true);
        try {
                Location loc = mgr.getLastKnownLocation(provider);
                tv.append("**** Location: " + loc.toString() + " ****
        catch(Exception e) {
                tv.append("provider == null");

[tv is a TextView object]
It already write "provider == null" so I guess that
"mgr.getBestProvider(new Criteria(), true);" returns null.

Could you explain to me what I need to do?

2. AndroidAPI App

I wrote my first "Hello World" App for Android: AndroidAPI

It should be useful for Android developers

Actually it provides full Android Java API on your Android phone and
does not require connection

Search for AndroidAPI in Market
