How does ResolverActivity or ChooserActivity getting launched?

 That doesn't make any sense.  The resolver activity is a chooser activity
with an additional check box to make the selected activity the default.

1. What Window System Services?

Dear Adroiders,
Does anyone have any idea what Windows System services are needed in 
order to get the Emulator to run. I have shut down a lot of services on 
my Windows XP laptop in order to conserve resources and to reduce 
hacking, hijacking possibilities. Unfortunately, I have done a search
