Supporting new platforms

 Hi,
I've been messing around a bit with the android source. I'm not sure
if this is better to ask in the android porting group, but it seems
noobish so I thought I'd ask here. I was wondering if there's a
comprehensive(ish) guide somewhere to adding new vendor
configurations? It seems like there's a lot involved in this (the
lunch command, putting various files in the /vendor directory, etc.)
that I can't find a lot of documentation for.

There's lots of "porting" tutorials that require you to check out
basically a fork of a particular android branch thats been made for a
particular platform, but that isn't really -porting-, thats just
checking out someone else's port.

1. No Contracts In Emulator?

Hi, I've got a problem again. I wrote "startSubActivity(new
Intent(Intent.VIEW_ACTION, Uri.parse("content//contacts/")),0);" in
one of my applications. And I got the permission in the
AndroidManifest.xml. But it throws ActivityNotFoundException every
time I run it. What's wrong? Was it because there are no contracts in
the Emulator? (I didn't add any contracts)
Thank you!

2. How to add new field to the contact?

Each contact has a set of paramters (mobile, home, work...). I want to
add a SIP address to this set to handle a VOIP sessions.

Are there any examples or documentation reagrding adding a new
parameter to the contact?
