 Hi all,

I've just downloaded the Cupcake SDK. I'm afraid I can't find MapView
anymore... Any help?

Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by "can't find".

In the SDK Reference Guide, there is:
 http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/location/index.html

MapView in SDK 1.5

 Sigh. Sent that reply a wee bit early. Let's try this again...

 http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/location/index.html

This leads you to:

 http://code.google.com/android/add-ons/google-apis/

There you can get reference documentation on it.

If by "can't find", you mean your code is not finding things, you need
to have an AVD and project both targeting "SDK level 3".

More precisely, you need an AVD and a project that reference the
"Google Apis level 3" addon, which contains maps. If you just use the
"Android 1.5" target, you won't have maps.

 Thanks Mark & Raphael,

By "can't find it" I meant that I could not find MapView in the SDK
reference accessible through ./docs on my computer :-) After making a
simple search, I found it in ./add-ons which corroborates what Raphael
just said. I know what to do ;-)!

Thanks again

1. How to make the touchscreen poll-scroll-action normally?

Hi All,

I really feel disapointed!

I am using WM9712 touchsceen, the dirver is shipped from the platform
provider, After I porting the android to the device, the touchscreen
works basically, CLICK ICON ACTION IS OK.

But when there is a VERTICAL SCROLLBAR on the screen, the PULL DOWN/
UP ACTION is so clumsy. When I pull the screen to the bottom , it is
hard for me to pull it to the top again, and sometimes a PULL action
will trigger a CLICK action, it should not be so sensitively.

Then I do some calibration, follow
http://home.androidin.com/space.php?uid=17708&do=blog&id=21,
but nothing can I improve.

Can anybody told me how to improve it?

Thanks a lot in advance!

2. Setting a Dialog width to fill screen?

Hey folks,

I've created a custom class that extends Dialog and have a custom view
I use inside it. When the dialog is activated, it looks like this:

http://img.waffleimages.com/278aad1d375a3e73c87189beac335c5d7100c8b5/device.png

It only seems to increase in width as I type into text boxes. I've
tried to override the layout attributes of the dialog below, but it
still doesn't seem to stretch out to fit the screen. I've also
included the XML for the view I want inside the dialog.

Can anyone suggest anything?

@Override
        public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
                super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
                this.setTitle("Create New List");
                setContentView(R.layout.dialog_create_new_list);
                LayoutParams params = getWindow().getAttributes();
                params.height = LayoutParams.FILL_PARENT;
                getWindow().setAttributes(params);
                .....
