 I'm trying to download the andoid SDK following the instructions found
here:  http://developer.android.com/sdk/eclipse-adt.html

However, when I try to download the SDK, I get this error:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could
not be found.
  Software being installed: Android Development Tools
0.9.4.v200910220141-17704 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group
0.9.4.v200910220141-17704)
  Missing requirement: Android Development Tools
0.9.4.v200910220141-17704 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group
0.9.4.v200910220141-17704) requires 'org.eclipse.gef 0.0.0' but it
could not be found

I get it both when downloading via http, and https. Can any of you
help me figure out what is going wrong? Thank you.

1. buggy Android phone (Tmobile g1)

I have some issues with the android email client.
1) the SSL setup is not intuitive. I cannot get my client to accept
my server's self signed cert unless I select "SSL when available" for
the SSL security option. Otherwise I get "Not a trusted Certificate"
error. I set my security setting as "SSL when available" but that
makes me queezy. I would like a way that I can simply import my
certificate into the trusted keystore.

2) For some reason, I cannot delete email messages from my IMAP mail
server. When I delete them in the android email client it copies the
message to a local trash directory and then removes it from the
message list. It does *NOT* delete the message from my inbox. So if
I log in via a real email client (like thunderbird), then the email
is still sitting there in my inbox. This is not expected behavoir and
is most definitely a bug.

3) Is there a bulk delete function in the mail client?

4) How do I tell my gmail client to stop notifying me of new mail? I
mostly use the gmail account for IM, google docs etc. There is
nothing coming to my gmail account that I am interested in. I
shouldn't have to receive those notifications constantly.

5) Why are there 2 trash folders? I have an Inbox.Trash and a regular
Trash folder in the IMAP client. What is the difference?

6) does my g1 login to google via ssl? Is there a way to make sure I
do?

7) Does anyone know of any apps being developed that transcript your
voicemail messages into text? I would love to not have to call my
voicemail box in order to get my messages.

2. Zoom problem in OpenGL

Hi everyone,

I want to zoom in on a 2D drawing in OpenGL and so I modify the
clipping area when a button is pressed. The zoom algorithm is very
simple:

float initialWidth=Math.abs(screenArea.maxX-screenArea.minX);
screenArea.minY += zoomSize;
screenArea.maxY -= zoomSize;
float zoomedWidth=Math.abs(screenArea.maxY-screenArea.minY)
*aspectRatio;
screenArea.minX += (initialWidth-zoomedWidth)/2;
screenArea.maxX -= (initialWidth-zoomedWidth)/2;

gl.glOrthof(screenArea.minX, screenArea.maxX,screenArea.minY,
screenArea.maxY, 1, -1);

This goes very well up to a certain point, where
screenArea.minX = 3096.8154f;
screenArea.maxX = 3152.815f;
screenArea.minY = 5648.5005f;
screenArea.maxY = 5723.7495f;

on the Y axis (the pan is exponential: at the first click it moves a
little, at the second click more, etc).

PS: If I substract from every X coordonate in the scene minX and from
every Y coordonate mixY (I translate the whole thing to origin) it
works perfectly

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
