 Hello @all,

have someone tested an app with android sdk 1.6 r1 and the usage of an
sdcard iso??
In my app i use:
private File root = Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory();

and:
root.canWrite()

return false. Why?? In Android 1.5, root.canWrite return true. So I
have create a new iso with the mksdcard tool from sdk 1.6r1 tools
folder, but nothing changed.

Thanks for help,
Stefan

PS: I have of course changed the emulator line to:

-sdcard /Users/Stefan/android-sdk-mac_x86-1.6_r1/tools/newone.iso

android:name="android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE"/>

1. ListView with 2 different rows ???

Hi,

is it possible to let my ListView show 2 different rows?

http://www.anddev.org/files/snapshot_119.png

On the picture you can see at the top something like a "teaser", the
other rows are normal ListView.

The screenshot is from the iPod. With their framework it is possible
to show 2 different row styles.

I badly need this on Android...

Otherwise I would use a tabel design. But adding rows dynamically
would be such an overhead instead of using ListView SimpleAdapter
addItem...

Marco

2. ActivityGroup and LocalActivityManager

Hi All!
I need a to create a layout that holds to other layouts.
each one of the layout should be populated by a different activity.

I've done some research and came across the fact that I need to
implement an ActivityGroup and use it's LocalActivityManager.
problem is that I don't understand the View hierarchy in such a
situation. a naive attempt to find the view of the parent window
(simple findViewById) fails (returns NULL).

I can't find any examples on the web.
have anyone done it before?

thanks,
Ori
