 Has anyone built a Sreetview Intent?

I tried the following and don;t see what is wrong:

  String uriString =
"google.streetview:cbll=44.640381,-63.575911&cbp=1,90,,0,1.0";
                                Uri uri = Uri.parse(uriString);
                                startActivity(new Intent
(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, uri));

Anybody have any suggestions or a working snippet?

 The following code snippet works for me:

        Intent myIntent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, Uri.parse
("google.streetview:cbll=" + lat +
                "," + lon + "&cbp=1,180,,0,1.0"));
        startActivity(myIntent);

Note that street views are "narrowly" draw along streets.

 Thanks for the snippet,

Now I tried to mimic your example with the following code but it still
crashes when the button is pressed:

                button3.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener()
                {
                        public void onClick(View v)
                        {
                                double lat = 44.640381;
                                double lon =-63.5759;
                                streetIntent     = new
Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, Uri.parse
                                          ("google.streetview:cbll=" + lat +
                                                          "," + lon +
"&cbp=1,180,,0,1.0"));
                                startActivity(streetIntent);

                        }
                }

I'll keep looking for another problem, as this Intent format looks OK.
I have a shaky wireless signal this evening and that couldn't help.

 ps. Hmm, maybe my lat/long are not specific enough. I entered the
coordinates for my house and I know there is a streetview site on the
street directly in front..With Google driving directions, it takes you
to the nearest road. |i figured streetview worked the same way. But
maybe you have to target the exact location of the camera icon. Does
anybody know?

 Another observation. When I went to the emulator's opening screen and
selected Mapsm then switched to Streetview mode on the menu, well it
brought up the thumbnail but then crashed when I selected it, the same
way as my app. I;m using 1.5r1 and maybe streetview needs a newer
version like 1.6 to work?

1. How do you create this map pin?

I want to know how to create a map "pin" such as the one used in the
Google Maps app, shown when you search for a particular address. The
white "balloon" which contains short String to denote what the pin is
representing.

Instead of adding a drawable for my pin in an OverlayItem, I would
rather use the pin above and incluce my own short String.

Is there an easy way to create this kind of pin or is it unique to the
Google Maps application?

Thanks!

2. How to replace libGLES_CM.so library that Dalvik virtual machine will recognize it?

You cannot replace libGLES_CM.so; this is part of the system. Instead
you need to rename your library "libhgl.so" and it will be
automatically loaded by the system.
I doubt it will work though unless you are using the correct NativeWindowType.

Android is not ready at this point to use a different h/w accelerator
than the one used on the G1.
