I am using a scrollview with a few EditTexts at the top followed by a
series of Spinners. The problem I am having is that when a Spinner is
used the screen auto scrolls back up to the last EditText. Is there
any way to prevent the auto scrolling?

Thanks.

1. Using transparent png textures won't work

Hi,

There is no transparency in JPEG. You mean 2 jpeg and 1 png.
And for the png one, you didn't get transparency. Right ?
(Take care : android downsampling PNG without transparency to 565)

You can try other combination of parameters for this gl.glBlendFunc()
to see
if you get different results.

2. Widget size problem

Hi to all,

I faced with one strange issue designing my widget layout.
At first I decided to make it 3x2 cells for all supported screens. So
I use minWidth=220dip and minHeight=146dip in my xml/widget.xml:

<appwidget-provider xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/
android"
                    android:minHeight="220dip"
                    android:minWidth="146dip"
                    android:updatePeriodMillis="0"
                    android:initialLayout="@layout/widget"/>

Then I designed several widget layouts - for mdpi, large-mdpi, ldpi
and hdpi - where:

<RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/
android"
              android:id="@+id/Widget"
              android:layout_width="fill_parent"
              android:layout_height="fill_parent">
...
</RelativeLayout>

So I expect that for all supporting screens the widget size will fit
3x2 cells, not more, not less.

But currently when I run it on emulator I see that my widget takes
more than a half of a screen for all supporting screens - 4x3 cells if
to talk that the max size is 4x4 cells (as it described here:
http://developer.android.com/guide/practices/ui_guidelines/widget_design.html#sizes).

Even if I'll define exact layout_width and layout_height in my widget
layouts in dip it will still take 4x3 cells, just it's visible part
will have another size.
