 hi,
At present android supports GSM sim messages decoding only.
Is there any plan for supporting USIM message decoding?
Can you please give form pointers for implementing this in android?

Thanks
Srinivas

1. Splash Activity

In my app I display an initial splash screen - but under
certain conditions, i don't and move straight to the next
activity.

so in the onCreate() method of the SplashActivity

- I do not set a setContentView()

- and have

                        Intent intent = new Intent(Splash.this,
MainActivity.class);
                        Splash.this.startActivity(intent);
                        Splash.this.finish();

is this ok?

sometimes the app seems to be{*filter*} and am
trying to identify the reason why.

2. Cannot download. the content is not supported on the phone

Hi,

I tried to connect to google maps api to create directions using this
code below. However, after clicking on the button, it displays "cannot
download. the content is not supported on the phone." I am using only
an emulator in eclipse.

OnClickListener onDirections = new OnClickListener(){
        public void onClick(View v){
                System.out.print(addressLabel.getText().toString());
                String url = "http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/directions/
json?origin=" + addressLabel.getText().toString()
                + "&destination=" + addressLabel.getText().toString() +
"&sensor=false";

                Intent i = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW);

                i.setData(Uri.parse(url));

                startActivity(i);
        }
    };

Please help me figure this out. Thanks.
