If you are attending this years Google I/O Developers Conference you
can connect with others attending here:

 http://droidin.com/events/google-io-developers

I thought it would be good to keep in-touch with the attendees before
and after the conference.

If you are attending, what do you plan on getting out of it? Tips &
tricks, networking, learn more about the Android platform, just going
for fun?

1. Cupcake: How to accelerate graphic/support OpenGL ES.

I've ATI graphic card on the system that is running Android cupcake.
With software emulation, OpenGL code runs really slow on it. I
understand that GPU drivers are proprietary and doesn't come with the
Android source.

Now, I would like to know what are the steps involved in providing
hardware acceleration to my Android applications? I understand that
Android directly access FrameBuffer. If that is the case, what are the
options?

Please advice.

Thanks,

Zia

2. Unhelpful side effect of paying for apps in USD

Many UK credit cards charge for foreign exchange transactions (e.g. buying
in USD), many charge a 2.5% fee on top of the actual cost, it would appear
some charge 1.50 for it, so as the person who tweeted
http://twitter.com/mckelvaney/statuses/1543785642 pointed out he's just paid
2.19 (~$3.20) for a $0.99 app.

Could this be one of the reasons for a lack of cross-border buying?

Al.
